New Guidelines Recommend Opioids for Seniors’ Pain
The use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or cox-2 inhibitors to treat persistent pain in seniors should be drastically reduced, according to new pain management guidelines released this week by the American Geriatrics Society (AGS).
